Telehealth consent
Consent for private online care.
Last updated: July 2026. This consent explains what online care can and cannot do, how clinician review works, what payment starts, and how your information is protected.
Online care
Your safety comes first.
- Online care can help you share health history, goals, medicine use, safety signals, and lab context without starting in a clinic room.
- Online care has limits. A clinician may ask for more information, recommend in-person care, or stop the online path if that is safer.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to update Cendara if your symptoms, medicines, pregnancy status, allergies, or health circumstances change.
- Clinician review guides suitability, next steps, and whether any care can continue online.
- Cendara is not an emergency service. For urgent symptoms or a life-threatening concern, seek immediate in-person care or contact local emergency services.
Payment and next steps
Payment does not replace review.
- Payment starts medical work, support, and lab coordination where needed.
- Payment is not a medicine sale, prescription guarantee, treatment guarantee, delivery guarantee, or promise that online care will continue.
- Lab testing may be needed before a clinician can decide whether a next step is suitable.
- Medicine or delivery coordination can happen only when clinician direction, lawful prescription needs, dispensing readiness, and payment status all support the next step.
Privacy
Sensitive details stay protected.
- Cendara handles personal and health-related information under the Privacy Policy and South African privacy expectations, including POPIA.
- Patient-specific questions belong in the secure portal so sensitive details are not placed in public channels.
- Trusted hosting, database, authentication email, notification, payment, support, security, and storage providers may help run the service.
- Some providers may process information outside South Africa under safeguards, access limits, and provider review.
Communication
Public messages stay high level.
- Cendara may send account, portal, payment, support, or care-step notices where the service needs them.
- External messages should stay high level and point you back to the secure portal for sensitive details.
- You can ask questions about this consent before continuing, and you may stop using online care features at any time.
- Stopping online care does not remove Cendara's need to keep records that are required for legal, finance, safety, or dispute reasons.
